We had such a fun Christmas. My Brother Ben with his wife Cait and their six kids came and stayed with us. We also had Matthew and his Wife Jessica, and baby brother Mike here. With that many in the home, funny things are bound to happen. Here are a few of the high lights. ( I will list them in a David Letterman "Top 10" style. )
10. Opening Jammies on Christmas Eve and seeing Michael Hyde do a magnificent leap in his new silky Jammie Bottoms.
9. Yelling at Matthew and Jessica to stop making out in front of the children
8. Hearing, seeing, and smelling child after child loose their eggnog...icky! (seriously, how many people can throw up in one night?)
7. Still thinking Christmas is fun when everyone is puking
6. Singing Karaoke while Mike Bearden busts a move in his new Lazy Boy.
5. Hearing the kids awake at 3:30 AM!!!! And laughing because we know they have to wait until 6:00 to get up
4. Lugging up the neighbors OLD blue recliner to trick Mike on Christmas morning.
3. Getting 6 INCHES of snow and sledding in the road at 10pm
2. Watching the kids act out the nativity scene, with Keri as Mary, Carter as Joseph and Annie as the multi-colored flying unicorn who came to see baby Jesus.

That sounds like a fun christmas. I wish I could have been there, although we had a lot of fun at Julies and no one pucked!

5. Me and Julie making a HUGE and Delicious turkey dinner for Christmas Eve day dinner
4. Watching the snow fall and playing in it on Christmas day. Kyle and the kids making a walrus out of it in the front yard
3. Kyle trying to fool me into thinking he was buying "grocery items for Julie" while he was really out buying me my christmas jammies.
2. Getting envelopes of cash and then at the end really getting a digital camera
1. Everyone telling each other one thing we loved about them on Christmas eve.
That is just a few of the hightlights my other favs were watching Julie ROCK OUT to guitar hero and her laughing so hard at my feble attempt, stuffing the stockings for all the kids, seeing the difference between my complete hyper-ness about anticipation of getting and giving presents and Julies complete mellow-ness, Christian, Jax and Kade wrestling and laughing, Playing "High Stakes" who-nu. Etc. We had a ball. I think we should all have anther one in a year or less!
