Home for Christmas

After Mike's busy Christmas season, we are finally able to enjoy some family down time. I LOVE spending time with my sweet family on the days prior to Christmas. We are slowly creating some of our own Bearden Family traditions. Tonight we juiced some oranges ( one of our traditions) and had some awesome freshly squeezed O.J. Then we settled in to watch a movie together. So simple..so easy and so perfect.

Jack was in Bed during all the fun...but this is his general mood during the holidays. :-)

Tomorrow we decided to try a new tradition on for size. Mike has been raving about a Burger joint called 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. We plan on putting a twist on an old Hyde family tradition of Burgers on Christmas Eve. Why cook when you can eat out? :-)

Cute Babies

My friend Jenny and I had babies a month apart. Last weekend we finally got them together for their betrothal! Aren't they sweet? :-) Because we had other kids the same ages, we thought we would be funny and tell them all to act like babies while we took their pictures!!

Jenny and I also got down on the blanket and had Landon take a picture of us. It was hilarious, but I accidentally deleted it!! Sorry Jenny,...we'll have to get together for a retake. We'll wear our onesies next time...lol

Innocence of youth

What is it about watching your second grader sing her heart out in her Christmas performance that brings a tear to your eye? Is it the Christmas songs themselves that let nostalgia flood my memory? Is it the proud stolen glance she gives me even when she knows she is suppose to be watching the conductor? Is it knowing that she worked and worked on these songs and finally has the chance to show them off to the world? I think all of these things played a part in my enjoyment of Annie's second grade program tonight. As I watched her proudly belt out Silver Bells and I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas, I couldn't help but realize how fleeting childhood is. How I will treasure these innocent performances and the pure joy I have watching her. I loved that she was unashamed of the fact that sh was out singing the entire second grade. (seriously, that girl has some pipes) I loved how she completely enunciated "I wanT a hippo-poT- a-mous for Christmas" and "Here comes San-Ta Clause". Too, too cute! I wish I could keep them young just a little longer. In a few short years she might feel too "cool" for such displays. I will just enjoy it while I can.

(not to put a damper on my sweet memory of Annie's program...but I couldn't get the DARN video to upload...)

Dancing Baby

I love this age! Three months old is SO much fun. Ellie gave him his first dancing lesson today. I think he has some real potential. :-)

Calling all Voice Male Widows!!!

Hey Voice Male Wives...I am totally going to buy us all one of these for next Christmas season!

(for those of you who have no idea why we would need this...check out voicemalemusic.com and check out their performance schedule...then add like 5 extra corporate shows to that. :-) We miss you Mike and can't wait to get you back!!

Lost and FOUND!!

Guess what Ellie found under the COUCH?!! Yes, my beloved card reader. :-) Here are a few catch up pictures. ....

Hey...it was only a matter of time. What a handsome little...girl?
Ellie had her ballet recital last week. After an hour of curling her hair and doing her make up, she zonked on the way there. I thought she looked like a little princess. :-) She did a great job in her dance. We were there for three hours and she was on stage for 3 min, but I thought it was worth it! What a sweetie.

We blessed baby Jack at the beginning of the month. It was such a special day. Mike did a great job on the blessing and Jack was an angel. Once again...we love that little guy SO much!

Voice Male was asked to be guests on a cooking show called "Cooking Delight" (or something like that. ;-) It's a show that combines the arts with cooking so we can be inspired to "be artists in our own kitchen". It was pretty fun. I think they were nervous to perform in front of the live studio audience which consisted of....me. :-) I enjoyed watching them get their make up on. I wish I would have taken a picture of that. Fun times.

Remember when...

Well, I bought another card reader only to bring it home and have it not work. I decided to post an old photo, just because it's so darn cute. I've decided to post an old photo a day until I get my new card reader. :-)

Mr. Jack

How am I EVER to do any house keeping with this little guy around? He's too cute to leave for a second!!!

no..I didn't find my cord, I took a picture with my phone, then emailed it to myself. When there's a will there's a way.

Imagination

If you haven't noticed, I have been in a posting funk....It's not the lack of exciting experiences that is holding me back, but I lost my darn device that transfers my pictures into my computer. I don't love to post unless I have a picture to go along with it...(I've stolen the last few pictures I posted...desperate times call for desperate measures) So tonight I will test my writing creativity and try to inspire fantastic imagery and detail as I blog about a few events that are worth remembering......

#1 TRIP TO EDEN WITH THE GILES

Some friends of ours invited us to share their time share for some fun time...of sharing..for a time....(how am I doing?..are you getting vivid pictures of my family sharing time with another family...in a time share?) hee hee...Ok, forget the imagery, I think I'll just stick with some one liners...I might be better at that. Let me try again. Use your imagination.....

Time share with friends
Hiking
Visited the Monastery
Very intrigued by the Monks lifestyle ( they get up at 3:30 am and pray 6 times a day)
Bought Honey
Played Settlers
Laughed a lot
Ate Cheese
Cold room
Kids had fun
We had fun
Thanks Giles...(for sharing your timeshare and sharing your time) :-)

#2 CASIE AND ANNIE'S PIANO RECITAL
Sweet girls
Talented
Great teacher..(Terri Exeter)
Grandma and Dave came
So proud

#3 THANKSGIVING
Lots of yummy food
Lots of Cousins
Lots of lunches made and distributed to the Homeless
Lots of Garbage
Lots of messes
Lots of Fun
Lots to be grateful for

#4 BABY JACK
Love love LOVE him!!!
So cute and smiley
Making lots of adorable baby noises
Sleeping through the night!...(almost)
Kissed a thousand times a day
The Apple of his Daddy's eye

I can't possibly keep this category to one or two word sentences....We are so grateful for this sweet baby!
Words could never describe his cute face and sweet countenance. I love what having a baby has brought out in our family. Casie is SUCH a sweet sister. I loved watching her proudly showing Jack off to her cousins over the Thanksgiving holiday. She is so willing to help with him and does so much to help with her sisters while I am busy with Jack. I am so grateful for her! Annie loves Jack too. She always prays that Jack and I will "sleep good." Annie is my sweet friend and a wonderful older sister. Ellie, as expected is the second Mom to Jack. She begs to change his diaper and doesn't hesitate to pick him up if he even looks like he might fuss. She buckles him in and out of his car seat, gives him his Binky, and loves to bring him to me after his nap. She does the immediate "Mother Bounce" when she picks him up. It's adorable. I love that little princess!
Now about that Daddy...Mike is totally in love with his son! He adores holding him, napping with him and kissing him.(notice I didn't mention changing his diaper) But it's so sweet to see them together. It's like they are in their own special "Man Club". I am grateful to have such an awesome man as a husband....oh, and he is hot too. :-)

Well, that about sums it up. I didn't mean to make this a novel of a post. :-) If my little device doesn't show itself soon I might just go and buy a new one. :-)

Twilight

Ok, yes...I went to the Midnight showing of Twilight. I don't want to give all my opinions on the show lest some of my readers haven't seen it. I will limit myself to a couple of words to describe some of the main parts ( in my opinion).

Edward: Awesome and played perfectly

Bella: I liked "Movie Bella" more than "Book Bella"

Jacob: I loved him!..can't wait for the next one so we can see more of him...(or I could go rent Shark Boy and Lava Girl)

Charlie: Perfect portrayal

Cullens: Loved all of them except for Jasper who was completely dorky looking! lol

High School Kids: Hilarious

My over all impression of the movie was a bit of a let down, but I still liked it and am excited to see it again with my Home Girls...aka my sister in laws. :-)

Quick post

I just finished reading Elder Wirthlins conference talk. I am still laughing!! I was sleeping during most of Saturday's session because I had just had Jack. I am so grateful to have the Ensign. We are so blessed to have a living prophet and disciples. So blessed. :-) I can't wait to read the rest.

If you give a Mom a toilet wand....

For all you Mom's out there who have read, "If you give a Mouse a Cookie", I give you this version to tell you about my day. :-)

If you give a Mom toilet wand, she's going to want to clean the toilet. As she's cleaning the toilet she will find her daughters dirty underwear secretly hidden in back. (like I would never find it WAY back there!) The dirty underwear will remind her that she needs to switch the laundry from the washer to the dryer. As she goes to throw away the lint from the dryer, she will notice that the garbage is full. She will want to take it out. As she's taking the garbage out, the phone will ring. She will answer it and find it to be a $##% Tele-marketer. Hearing the annoying recording will prompt her to google the "Do not Call List" on her computer. Sitting in front of her computer will make her want to check her email. She might get carried away and also check on her friends blogs...and their friends blogs...and their friends blogs..... Time going by will make the sleeping baby upstairs wake up and want to be fed. Hearing the baby cry will shock Mom back into reality and make her realize she has been on the computer too long. She will pick up the sweet baby and feed him. Feeding the baby will remind Mom that she is VERY thirsty, so she will probably ask for a big glass of water.....and chances are, if she drinks all that water....she is going to have to go to the bathroom!!....(didn't I start cleaning that darn toilet this morning!!!???)

Halloween

Thanks to Grandma M., I now have some cute pictures of my kids on Halloween. These were taken during the Halloween Parade at their school. What cuties I have!! Thanks to Grandma for being a picture Queen!
Casie is half boy half girl...and ALL adorbable. :-)
Jack wasn't in his costume at the parade, but isn't he CUTE!!??
Ellie and Annie were SCAARRYYY witches!

We had another fun Halloween party in Richfield this year. Lot's of Craziness, food..(Mike out did himself on the Chili this year), candy, and costumes!
Stephen and Mckenzie always have awesome costumes. Heston made such a cute chubby elephant!

I think we can all agree that the highlight of the holiday were the three baby boys! Heston and Gabriel out weigh little Jack by 8 pounds, but if Jack is a true Bearden, he will be towering in no time! Gabriel and Heston are SUCH cute babies! They are both so sweet and good natured. I can see many fun get togethers throughout the years where we will have to keep a special eye on these three! Cousins are so fun. :-)

My sweet little puppy dog...minus the ears. I just LOVE this little guy! I have to be careful not to kiss him too hard! I seriously could just eat him up.

Casie, Keri and Kinley. They are such good friends and have so much fun together. Casie is a half boy half girl. :-) (fyi..I had the same costume when I was her age)

" Lucy! You got some splaining to do!"....those were words I never heard Kyle say, but that's what they dressed up as. Jessica and Matthew are Fred and Ethel. At first I thought Matthew was John McCain..lol
